Yes, you read that title right. I made a chocolate cake IN A PRESSURE COOKER. Growing up, I was terrified of pressure cookers. I’m pretty sure once my mother’s pressure cooker exploded into the ceiling and I’ve been traumatized since. I mean, it’s possible I dreamt that, but it doesn’t make them any less terrifying for me. Because of this, I have never used one before. So what better way to dip my feet in than to make a completely unconventional item in one? I found this recipe for a pressure cooker vegan chocolate cake and I just had to try and make it myself. I STILL can’t believe it worked and it didn’t explode!
You guys.. it WORKED. Not only have I never made a cake by scratch before, but it baked in the pressure cooker! I am completely BLOWN AWAY! It’s MAGIC!
