Who doesn’t love a good mug cake? Being able to create personal size desserts has been a godsend for me. I can be pretty lazy sometimes. The thought of making an entire sheet of brownies when I could just pop the ingredients into my mug, microwave it, and have my own little dessert ready is far more enticing. This method also keeps me from bingeing on 6 brownies and then having a horrible stomach ache from the excessive sugar I just put into my body. Because of that, I have this simple little brownie mug cake recipe I put together for you!
Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp of flour
- 4 Tbsp of raw cane sugar
- 3 Tbsp of water
- 1 1/2 Tbsp of canola oil (or coconut!)
- 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp of choco chips
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 2 Tbsp of cocoa powder
Mix all of the dry ingredients together first (not the choco chips)! Once mixed well, add the wet ingredients and stir until fully combined. Add the choco chips and fold into the batter. I added a few more on top because why not? Put in the microwave and cook for 1 minute 30 seconds. Check the batter and see if it needs more time. If it does, put it back in and cook in 15 second intervals until done! Enjoy!
*If you want to take it out of the mug and eat on a plate, spray with non-stick oil before adding the batter!
