Thanksgiving Tablescape with Christmas Tree Shops andThat!

November 1, 2019 By Stephanie Hope 1 Comment

*This post for our Thanksgiving tablescape is sponsored by Christmas Tree Shops andThat!, but all of the work, opinions, and thoughts are 100% my own.

It has always been a dream of mine to have a dining room where I could set up a beautiful tablescape for each holiday I wanted. Perhaps it’s all those holiday movies where everyone gathers in the dining room and everything is perfectly decorated that swayed me. This year, I decided I would finally create the perfect (vegan) Thanksgiving, decorations and all. I really wanted to capture the colors of Thanksgiving, the coziness of a decorated house, and also have a functional table and buffet to fit all the food! This entire space has been decorated with decor I bought at Christmas Tree Shops andThat! Also, don’t miss out on their annual Family and Friends event 11/5-11/11 where you get 20% off your entire order!

A Thanksgiving Tablescape with Christmas Tree Shops andThat!

For the Thanksgiving dining room decor, I really wanted to go for traditional colors and even some traditional style dinnerware. I was so happy to find these beautiful dinnerware sets at Christmas Tree Shops andThat!. Obviously you know that we don’t eat animals in our household, but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate Thanksgiving decor. I like to think of it as inviting these turkeys to dinner with me because they’re my friends!

I fell absolutely in love with all of the new Thanksgiving decor they have available here. It’s almost over-whelming in the best way to see all of the decorations I can choose from. However, I need to focus and keep my eye on the prize.

They had beautiful disposable dinnerware which I thought was so clever. Usually disposable plates can look so tacky and cheesy, but these were tasteful and pretty sturdy! They’re perfect to hold up all of the food you’re going to force on the plate! Regardless, I still stuck with the gorgeous Turkey dinnerware set because it completely blew me away.

The best part for me with shopping at Christmas Tree Shops andThat! is all of the amazing fun finds at incredibly affordable prices. The seasonal assortment is always changing which makes shopping here so exciting for me. Seeing all of the different goodies I can buy really sparks my creativity and helps me envision how the room is going to look.

The Dining Room Reveal

Is this not the Thanksgiving dining room of your dreams? Well, it is for me! I am absolutely in love with this space! The way the dining room and living room flow so naturally with the Fall decor makes me seriously so happy.

My absolute favorite thing I bought was the dining plate set. It really reminds me of a traditional English tablescape and was the main focus on this entire space.

The cookware was a great touch to bring a little bit more of that Thanksgiving feel than using my old, practically rusty dishes. I love this serving plate I put our vegan roast on with a few broken (but delicious) cornbread muffins!

The centerpiece really brings the Thanksgiving tablescape alive by adding some vertical elements, giving it wonderful dimension. Adding the napkin rings added another fun touch to the whole table that I love so much.

i still can’t believe there’s a wee baby insid i still can’t believe there’s a wee baby inside my body right now ready to come out soon. just squirming around, hiccuping. it’s so unreal. the fact that my body just knows what to do despite spending my entire adult life convinced i 1. didn’t want a child and 2. wasn’t capable of being a (good) mother.

if i’m being honest, my fears came from my poor relationship with my own mother. i was raised to be afraid, to never feel like i would be good enough (spoiler alert: never was to her!) but to constantly try, and to feel like i had to buy love from people around me. now i know better. i know that i can just love my daughter unconditionally, help her see that i will ALWAYS be her safe space and never the thing to be afraid of, and that she never has to buy my love.

being a mom is something i never thought i would do, but i am ready to dive in and be the mother i always wanted growing up but never had. 💕 Photos are all from @jaceyanastasio ! #motherhood #pregnancyjourney #maternityshoot
I don’t see my stretch marks as battle scars, ti I don’t see my stretch marks as battle scars, tiger stripes, or a badge of honor. To me, they’re just skin stretching—because that’s what skin does. It doesn’t have to carry a deeper meaning or be a symbol of anything. It doesn’t have to be proof that I’m a mom to make me feel like a mom. My motherhood isn’t defined by the marks on my body; it’s in the love I give, the patience I practice, and the moments that shape this journey.

I don’t need to call my stretch marks anything to accept them, and for me, that’s freeing. They’re not good or bad, beautiful or ugly—they just are. A natural part of being human, of growing, of changing.

That being said, if giving them a name or a purpose helps you embrace them, that’s amazing! Every mom’s journey is different, and so is the way we process the changes that come with it. This is simply what works for me—letting my body be, without pressure to find meaning in every mark. No labels needed, no justification required. Just me, existing as I am. #pregnancyjourney #stretchmarks #pregnancyphotoshoot #maternityshoot
