My Social Media Checklist I Use Daily For Blogging

December 2, 2018 By Stephanie Hope No Comments

If I didn’t keep a checklist on things that I need to do daily, I would probably lose my mind! A lot of people have this misconception that being an influencer or blogger is easy. I mean, all we do is just write a blog post and then take a nap right? Oh how I wish that was it. Honestly, when I first decided to take this career path, I had no idea how much work it really is. This is why I do everything I can to make it an easier process for me. That’s why I came up with a social media checklist! I will be talking about certain points in the blog, but you can download the printable by signing up for my newsletter where you’ll receive blog updates, news, and exclusive content!

Facebook:

If I’m being totally honest, I wish I didn’t need a Facebook account. If you want a business Instagram account or Facebook page, you HAVE to keep your personal account open, so I had to do that despite deactivating it for months. I still very rarely use my personal account, but I am very active on my Facebook page.

A few things I do every single day on my Facebook account is to check for any messages sent through DM. I try to keep my response rate high! Then, I will scroll through my most recent posts and respond to any comments. I used to take this time to schedule some posts for the day, but now I use Buffer to schedule all of my social media posts (excluding Instagram and Pinterest) for the entire week. Because of this, I have saved a lot of time I have to spend doing this every day! I highly recommend it if you’re trying to stay active on social media without wasting hours scheduling all of your posts.

This one is the most important and the one where I’m the most active. The very first thing I do when I open my Instagram is respond to my DM’s. I get a ton of messages every day, and always try my best to respond to each one. If it’s a creepy dude, I usually just delete the message without reading it.

After that, I will go to my 6 most recent Instagram posts, like and reply to all of the comments I received. I usually try to respond with someone meaningful and personal. It’s nicer than just an emoji. This keeps my engagement rate high!

Once I finished replying to people on my own page, I will go through the accounts I follow and view their stories, reply to some of their stuff, and like and comment on their posts. Then I’ll go through different hashtags and do that same thing to a few new people. I don’t do this because I expect them to follow back. I do this as a way to show my support for other bloggers, influencers, or just someone who could use a friendly hello! Never expect anything in return.

Twitter:

I still don’t really get Twitter, but I continue to use it. Every day I try to post a new tweet of something funny or interesting (although I do have scheduled tweets through Buffer). I will go through my feed to like, retweet or comment on other’s statuses.

After that, I will go to the trending tags and do the same thing to random accounts if I find their content interesting!

I don’t want to go into crazy details when I can easily make a simple downloaded printable sheet with every thing I do for each platform. I will also have Pinterest, Reddit, and Blogging listed! i still can’t believe there’s a wee baby insid i still can’t believe there’s a wee baby inside my body right now ready to come out soon. just squirming around, hiccuping. it’s so unreal. the fact that my body just knows what to do despite spending my entire adult life convinced i 1. didn’t want a child and 2. wasn’t capable of being a (good) mother.

if i’m being honest, my fears came from my poor relationship with my own mother. i was raised to be afraid, to never feel like i would be good enough (spoiler alert: never was to her!) but to constantly try, and to feel like i had to buy love from people around me. now i know better. i know that i can just love my daughter unconditionally, help her see that i will ALWAYS be her safe space and never the thing to be afraid of, and that she never has to buy my love.

being a mom is something i never thought i would do, but i am ready to dive in and be the mother i always wanted growing up but never had. 💕 Photos are all from @jaceyanastasio ! #motherhood #pregnancyjourney #maternityshoot
I don’t see my stretch marks as battle scars, ti I don’t see my stretch marks as battle scars, tiger stripes, or a badge of honor. To me, they’re just skin stretching—because that’s what skin does. It doesn’t have to carry a deeper meaning or be a symbol of anything. It doesn’t have to be proof that I’m a mom to make me feel like a mom. My motherhood isn’t defined by the marks on my body; it’s in the love I give, the patience I practice, and the moments that shape this journey.

I don’t need to call my stretch marks anything to accept them, and for me, that’s freeing. They’re not good or bad, beautiful or ugly—they just are. A natural part of being human, of growing, of changing.

That being said, if giving them a name or a purpose helps you embrace them, that’s amazing! Every mom’s journey is different, and so is the way we process the changes that come with it. This is simply what works for me—letting my body be, without pressure to find meaning in every mark. No labels needed, no justification required. Just me, existing as I am. #pregnancyjourney #stretchmarks #pregnancyphotoshoot #maternityshoot
