If there is something I have always wanted in a house, it’s a guest room. I’m not exactly sure why except that it makes me feel like this cool person who has a designated space for friends to sleep in. Is that weird? Probably. However, our guest room currently is pretty bland! We decided to do some cheap sprucing up with Bed Bath & Beyond to really elevate the room for future guests! This post is sponsored, but all opinions and the work I did in the guest room are all my own!
Before
Do you like before and afters? I am absolutely obsessed with them so it comes to no surprise that I would find a way to add it into a blog post about the apartment! Currently, the room is pretty empty, with just a bed and some random furniture. My goal for the space is to make it very serene and spa-like. We wanted to have lots of green, but not have it look “tropical”.
Bed Bath & Beyond
I’m really excited to be working with Bed Bath & Beyond on this because it was always one of my favorite stores. They have recently launched a brand new in store shop at their Mount Vernon, NY location! It’s been a long time coming, but I am seriously so excited for this new phase of BB&B!
Basically they are going to be having these little “shops” in their stores with home decor items and furniture you can buy. The decor items are placed in no particular order on the shelves, but they have these adorable little displays with certain themes.
My favorite was the farmhouse theme! It was so cute and rustic and SO my style! They honestly all gave me so much inspiration for what we can do to our home, and the prices were surprisingly affordable!
They even have a snack section which is where I’d like to live permanently, please. I was incredibly impressed with the amount of snacks and items they put in the middle of the store! It was like it’s own little world! There was art, candles, pillows, furniture, you name it!
There’s nothing I love more than the snack aisle anywhere! I wish we would have bought a few things but I was so fixated on all the pretty home decor that I forgot!
What we bought
So, we went in with the idea that we were going to redo our guest room and had a certain color theme in mind. I wanted a spa like feel without feeling too tropical with all the greens and blues. We bought two side tables, a lamp, a new lampshade, and a gorgeous statement canvas print! These simple little pieces really amped up how adorable the room came out!
The total for all items was around $120 which I was really happy about! Everything else in the guest room we had so essentially we spent $120 to makeover the room! Money well spent!
After
I honestly can’t get over how adorable this room came out! It’s so peaceful and inviting! The wall color adds some much needed color and brightness into the room. The side tables were the perfect size for the space and it looks so perfect with the little lamp!
My favorite thing in the room is obviously the wall art! I’m really impressed at how we managed to get it to match the paint color without remembering the actual color!
I am so glad we were able to finish the guest room for the Summer, and I am so proud of the items we bought at Bed Bath & Beyond which make the whole room come together so nicely! Be sure to check out their store if you’re nearby and you won’t be disappointed!
