Over the weekend, James and I went to NYC to see a Broadway show. The show was amazing. We went down by train, which was an entirely new experience for me! After a few anxious hours on the train, we made it to Grand Central Station. We spent the entire day walking around the city, which usually is never a problem. However, it was over 100 degrees outside, the sun was beaming down the entire time, and I nearly passed out! I ended up becoming severely dehydrated. The entire time, I couldn’t stop thinking about delicious frozen treats I could make. My first thought was to make easy homemade popsicles with yogurt!
Easy Homemade Popsicles with Yogurt
My absolute favorite thing about this recipe is how versatile it is! You can literally add whatever fruit, juice, or yogurt you want! For this recipe, I chose a banana berry frozen fruit mix and the Blue Diamond Vanilla Yogurt. I was actually really surprised to see this huge tub of vegan yogurt at my local grocery store! I used to always buy this size and make absolutely delicious parfaits for breakfast.
Originally, I went to Target to find the popsicle molds, but isn’t it insane how quickly retail moves? After searching by myself, I asked for help. The employee checked their system and it turns out the item went to clearance last week and was already out of stock for the season! Are you kidding me?! They already had all of their Fall stuff coming in quick. Retail makes me feel like time flies way faster than it should be. Can’t we still enjoy Summer?
After a long rant to myself in my car about how this is why Amazon is taking over the world, I finally found some molds at Home Goods. However, if you’re like me and purchase nearly everything on Amazon because clearly stores never have what I want, you can get some molds here: Popsicle Molds!
These popsicles are
refreshing
fruity
healthy
absolutely perfect when the sun wants to literally murder you
Clearly I’m not an expert at making them look super aesthetically pleasing, but it doesn’t make it any less delicious! I like to think that my popsicles look like a galaxy!

Recipe for Easy Homemade Popsicles with Yogurt
The easiest, most versatile recipe; all you’ll need for this is the popsicle molds, frozen fruit of your choice, water, and whatever yogurt flavor you’d like! I chose vanilla because it goes so well with any type of fruit and makes the perfect frozen yogurt snack!
Some extra things you’ll need is a food processor, spoon, and ziploc bags. First, pour the frozen fruit into the food processor; add the water as well. Blend this until it comes out to a thick, smooth form- like a smoothie bowl!
Scoop the mixture into a ziploc bag. Do the same for the yogurt in a separate bag. Cut a hole big enough to get a smooth flow of both products into the molds. This is a great way to get swirls into the molds for a more aesthetic look. If you are like me, and don’t actually care what it looks like you can spoon the mixture in and do your own little swirls.

Once you have all the molds ready to go, just put them in the freezer for about 3-4 hours or until it’s frozen!

- Scoop the mixture into a ziploc bag, set aside
- Scoop the vanilla yogurt into a bag as well

- Squeeze the bags and pour the yogurt and fruit mixture into the molds until you reach the fill line
