This room has been the bane of my existence for a while. It was messy, filled with paint supplies, ladders, and tools! Honestly it was just an eyesore! I finally took it upon myself to fix it up a bit, and even though we still need a few more things (and to paint the walls) for it to be complete, I wanted to show you this really neat thing I did for some Baker’s Rack Ideas! I got this rack from Best Choice Products!
Commence the building
Ophie likes to help me by just laying on top of everything. Why do cats do this?! As you can see, the entryway isn’t quite as pretty as I would like it to be! Let’s fix that a bit!
Okay, I took everything out of the box (including an excessive amount of styrofoam)! Honestly, I was a bit intimidated..
This little packet came with the inventory total and really easy to read instructions! I managed to build most of the lower part of it, but I messed up by tightening everything before all the pieces were in. This resulted in a incredibly frustrated Steph. Luckily, James to the rescue!
Look at him in all of his shiny knight armor! James is the king of building stuff so I just let him take over before I lost my mind! Honestly, this was really simple to put together and there aren’t as many pieces as appears.
Finished Product!
I’m not going to lie, I’m incredibly proud of this idea! Who would have thought to put a kitchen baker’s rack as a landing station in their entryway?! This girl! Doesn’t it look cute with the shoes in the bottom and my bubble umbrella leaning against it? I added a little basket for mail, my homemade cross stitch art, and some fake plants!
I added a cute little tropical candle and box from IKEA to hide some mail as well! We absolutely love how this came out! The rack was super easy to assemble and the size of it is perfect for our entryway!
Here’s a close up of the bottom shelves with our shoes! The rack originally came with wine bottle holders, but because I knew I was going to use it for shoes in the bottom, I didn’t install those!
Even though the room still needs paint and a few more decorations, I seriously love how it came out so far. Every time I walk past it, it makes me smile! I would definitely recommend this rack to anyone! What are some other ideas you’d use this rack for? Let me know in the comments!
