I am dying to finish up some last minute touches on my apartment (kitchen and bathroom) before I can post those up, but I thought you’d enjoy an in-depth look into my living room and how I decorate it!
I am a sucker for any thrift store finds, and that can really be seen in my little knick-knacks. I’d like to say my style is a funky, cozy modern? Is this an actual style?
Living in a studio apartment, I had to work with the space. Instead of having a coffee table, I opted to use a spice rack on the wall as a “table ledge” and my IKEA cart as a utility side table! There, I put blankets, room sprays, flowers, and my TV controllers.
My records are displayed on the wall behind my TV and it was a really fun project! The living room is definitely my favorite spot in my apartment.
This was originally a bathroom shelf I got at a tag sale for $5. I currently use it as a bookshelf/media storage! Most of my art shown are thrift store or Home Goods.
The Hat and Apple is a spin on the painting “The Son of Man” and the creepy mask was a thrift store find! The wood behind the hat is actually a piece of an old lamp that I kept because why not?
The gallery wall above the bed was super fun to make as well! I made a super cheap and lazy ukulele holder (it’s nails, guys.. just nails). Nearly all of the pieces I purchased at a thrift store. The Elvis one I got at a Blockbuster video. What an old fashioned sentence. I hung café lights for a cute ambience at night.
These shelves I got at IKEA and they are SO adorable! They really make the space look ten times cuter. The plants I got at a hardware store and the decorations are from (surprise!) a thrift store.
My adorable triangle wall was SO fun to paint! You can also see my cute shelf in the kitchen full of more fun knick knacks! Yay! I also opted for a photo on the bottom of the wall because who controls where we hang photos?!
My boyfriend spent his hard earned dollar on this box crate and it’s definitely one of my favorite pieces in my apartment. It’s now home to one of my cozy blankets.
My apartment is about 320 square feet and it has a LOT of character! I can’t wait to finish the kitchen and bathroom, but I really feel like my personality shines more in this space than any other. Let me know what you think!
Love xx
