Camping is not really one of my top favorite things to do in the summer. It’s nothing against the wilderness—except for the bugs. I just can’t stand the mosquitos. I also just hate setting up a tent, finding a good spot, and then when you finish setting everything up, you just sit there wondering what else to do. There’s where Huttopia Adirondacks comes in.
Huttopia is a glamping destination for people who sort of like the wilderness, but also like the conveniences of sleeping on a nice bed and having a little café nearby for food and drinks. It’s basically my ideal camping trip. So, when I found out they opened a new location in the Adirondacks, you know I had to stay.
PS: if you like the sweater I’m wearing, learn more about it here!
One of my favorite features of staying at Huttopia is the main rec center that boasts a lovely café that sells coffees, teas, smoothies, and you can even order pizza!
They have this lovely sitting area where we spent a lot of time playing board games and eating pizzas, like they’re amazing S’mores one! Also, how cute are those blankets? I wanted one so bad!
On the other side of the place, they had a little market with souvenirs and merchandise you can buy, like shirts, mugs, board games, and even food to cook at your glampsite (I love saying that).
I’m not going to lie, I really wanted to buy these groceries just to bring home because I loved the simple packaging so much! I did end up buying James a hat!

We ordered a very delicious banana smoothie while we waited for our pizza, which is unbelievably delicious.
Staying in the room was the best part of the trip, obviously. We stayed in the King Trappeur Duo, which had the best up front and center and the bathroom behind it. On the left side you could find the toilet (with running water by the way!!) and on the other, the SHOWER. Yes, you read that right. There was a beautiful stand up shower. No public restrooms for this boujie girl.
I absolutely loved this little wardrobe! Am I the only one who never actually unpacks their bags and hangs their stuff up?
Another amazing feature was the enormous industrial fan (not pictured) hanging on the ceiling. I mean, it was huge and it provided so much cool air at night. In fact, at one point, I was a little too chilly. I would never complain about that though, especially in the middle of summer.
I loved waking up in the morning with a cup of coffee while I heard the sounds of rain falling on the leaves. We have a pretty private site, with views of the forest behind us. The only downside was that it was a bit of a hike to get to the site from where we parked our car. It would be cool if we could have a parking spot at each site.
The entire trip to Huttopia Adirondacks actually ended up being really rainy, so we didn’t actually hike at all. It was still so nice to spend some time alone with James, enjoying moments of quiet in the woods. We did take a drive to the Lake George town one day and had a blast shopping, and eating delicious foods. We also went to a haunted museum. That was my idea, and yes I still regret it simply because I’m such a scaredy cat. James basically dragged me through it.
I highly recommend checking out Huttopia Adirondacks for your next glamping experience! It’s perfect for couples, friends, wedding parties, family, and even a solo trip!
